CLIFTON PARK CHIROPRACTOR ANNOUNCES 5TH BUSINESS ANNIVERSARY EVENTS - April 24th Open House Submitted By:
Silvio Rugani
Rugani Family Chiropractic of Clifton Park will mark its fifth year in business with a food drive, new equipment, give-aways and an open house. Dr. Silvio T. Rugani opened the practice at 1733 Route 9 in Clifton Park 5 years ago on March 1, 2005.
The food drive will benefit CAPTAIN Youth & Family Services. Donations may be dropped off at Rugani Family Chiropractic, which is located in the D&G Village Plaza. It is recommended that donors call ahead to confirm office hours. The phone number is (518) 348-6366.
The anniversary celebration open house will be held on Saturday, April 24th between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and is open to the public. Guests will be treated to refreshments, chair massage, door prizes, a fitness screening by a certified personal trainer from HealthPlex, and a gift certificate for a complimentary spinal decompression treatment.
Spinal decompression therapy gently stretches the spine to relieve pressure and inflammation from disc herniation and stenosis. Dr. Rugani will be introducing the new spinal decompression equipment at the open house.
Chair massages will be provided by licensed massage therapists from neighboring A Peaceful Place (www.apeacefulplace.com.)
Fitness assessments, also known as Functional Movement Screening, will be offered at no cost to guests by personal trainers from the HealthPlex, a fitness center on Route 9 in Clifton Park (www.healthplexfitness.com.)
Patients and visitors to the Rugani Family Chiropractic website may also enter to win a two-day Bed & Breakfast Get-away in historic Beddington, Vermont at the award-winning Eddington House. The drawing for this prize will be held on June 1, 2010. For more information about this beautiful retreat, visit www.eddingtonhouseinn.com.
Dr. Silvio Rugani graduated Cum Laude from Iona College with a Bachelor of Science and received his Doctorate from New York Chiropractic College. Dr. Rugani was inducted into the New York Chiropractic Phi Chi Gamma Honor Society. Additionally, he is professionally licensed and board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic. Prior to establishing an office in Clifton Park, Dr. Rugani practiced at Advanced Rockland Chiropractic in Spring Valley, NY.
Dr. Rugani’s focus on wellness for the whole body is one reason he chose to mark his fifth year anniversary with a food drive.
“Thomas Edison said that the doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease,” says Dr. Rugani.
“Proper nutrition is an essential component of well-being and one that is often overlooked in today’s high speed society with its frequent dependence on fast food. Making nutritious food more available to the people who can least afford it is one small way that I can make a difference in their health,” explains Dr. Rugani.
In choosing to conduct a food drive for CAPTAIN Youth & Family Services, located in the Municipal Plaza on Maxwell Road, Rugani felt that he could also give something back to the community that has supported his business for the last 5 years.
The April 24th Open House is consistent with his philosophy of acknowledging the people who have contributed to the success of his business. Through patient testimonials, referrals to friends and family, and regular business networking, the practice has shown a steady growth over the five year period. “The Open House will be a celebratory and festive event,” says Rugani. “I hope to entertain approximately 100 patients, relatives, business associates and people who are curious about chiropractic.”
